He is such a big guy and seems to have a high motor I was just wondering what some of you thought about putting him in at DT on certain running stopping situations.

I'm not saying he will be some sort of defensive monster just saying that he will be a big body in there with pretty decent speed.

Don't get me wrong having alot of size is very helpful but at this level you must have great technique to consistently get off your block

These kind of threads are almost as annoying as the ones saying we should find a basketball player turned TE like jimmy graham

If he's anything like Star Lotulelei strong, then it couldn't hurt training him on that side.

We should let the Tuba turned basketball player try out at TE

Exactly, if he has some strength to him he can at least clobber up some room for the rest of the guys to tackle the runner.

Fans need to understand that coaches have seen players go through thousands of reps and thousands of drills. They repeatedly watch film of players to evaluate their talent.

Fans get to see less than 1% of what coaches see. If Studrawa, Haley and Miles all agree that Fanaiaka's future is at OG, I trust that evaluation.

that would be a reasonable thought if he were an incoming freshman and took a red shirt year to work on converting him to a new position. You just don't take a player his junior year and switch him to a position he has never played before in college and put him out on the field unless you have just totally given up on the season and you just don't give a f.
