I've always trusted in Chavis and who he puts out there but I've always wanted to see certain players get more playing time. So here is mine

DE- rasco, Allen
DT- johnson, ego

Left-Right - Kwon, Beckwith, Dieon Jones
- Ik Beckwith is very very young, but I want to see him at the MLB position

CB - Robinson, Mills
Safety - Eugene , Loston

Safety position is very hard for me but I think the main problem is leadership. Yes, other problems too as for blown coverages, tackling but last couple years we had Kevin Minter, Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu and way back to Kelvin Shepard who were DAMN GOOD leaders... Who is the leader for this defense?? I would like to see Barrow step up and Loston too.

Just some thought. Looking forward to changed and ready for Miss State!! Our tigers will bounce back!

Front 4- We probably have our best talent out there but we need to develop other players and rotate on passing downs etc.. We are soft and don't create much pass rush. Chavis is going to have to mix it up more and spell these guys too.

LE
No. 59 Jermauria Rasco

RE
No. 98 Jordan Allen

LT
No. 90 Anthony Johnson

RT
No. 09 Ego Ferguson

Linebackers - This is a group of underachievers when you really look at them closely. Welter and Jones were celebrated out of HS and have not developed into SEC Linebackers.

SAM (SLB)
No. 25 Kwon Alexander
***Tahj Jones is a bust, it's that simple

Mike (MLB)
No. 23 Lamar Louis or No. 52 Kendal Beckwith or No. 22 Ronnie Feist
**** Welter can't play at this level

Will (OLB)
No. 18 Lamin Barrow
***Biggest Disappointment of this season. When is going to step up?

Defensive Backs - I think we actually have some talent in this area. I'm moving Robinson and White into the starting lineup. I would work on developing them and rotating guys at Safety spots because we need players getting reps in the back.

LCB
No. 21 Rashard Robinson
*** With what's going on out there one wonders why this talent isn't in the mix

RCB
No. 16 TréDavious White (Or Move White to Safety)
**** Best DB we got and one wonders why he isn't starting

FS
No. 26 Ronald Martin
*** White could be appropriate in this position

SS
No. 06 Craig Loston
*** Has to play cuz we dat bad

not really, both were 3 star guys who were kinda "meh". Tahj was solid in 2011, but he's a smallish OLB who weighs 200 lbs (and about 10 of that is his dreads). he's been nicked up all yr. Kwon has pretty much taken over that Sam spot.

he's started the last 3 games. he just got benched during this past one.

Tahj just hasn't got it, they can blame it on injuries etc.. Still, I think he is a chase LB at the Will with his speed.

I didn't see White in the starting lineup against Georgia. I saw him play a little but thought he was coming off bench.

One that blitzes because we have to. DBs can't hold up in coverage. We have to play a high risk high reward defense the rest of the year. Yea we are going to get burned some but it beats just letting the other team methodically pick us apart. Might actually cause some turnovers also.

I don't know, but it'd be neat to have 270lb LBs like Bama always has.

I would let Beckwith rotate more with Rasco, I think Beckwith has a good step on the edge to rush the passer. I would have Kwon start OLB opposite Barrow.

Here is where it gets interesting, I would play a 4-3 Over/Under depending on the strong side and have Loston at the MLB spot. I think he is still solid in run support plus his speed could help in blitzing/pursuit/coverage.

My two CBs would be White along with Mills/Collins rotating. Rashard Robinson would play in the nickel. At FS would be Martin and I would Corey Thompson at SS. I like Corey's athleticism and his tenacity. I think this would give us a very fast defense on field which could make up for our lack of experience.

Face it, there is no scheme we can use that would allow us to field the kind of D we are used too. Let's put as much speed as we can out there so we aren't looking slow and sorry.

I agree. Something like what Gregg Williams brought to the Saints. I think that could work.

Can Jefferson effectively play in the Safety spot? I know he was in during garbage times earlier in the season and looked decent.

I think depth is a real issue, and they are playing very mechanical "as in they dont go for the play" they look like they just dont want to mess up...

very uncommon for an LSU defense
