We blitz one of our slower players, we drop one of the worst LBers we ever had into coverage, and we just sit back in zone and get picked apart while getting no pressure on the QB. Its like chavis thinks we still have PP7, TM7, MC17, and ER1 on the field. I don't see what he sees. I just don't understand the scheme, if you don't have the pure dominance in the secondary, then why not draw up exotic blitz packages with some of our more athletic LBers? Why not let Beckwith see some more PT so he can actually have field experience instead of keeping him on the sidelines because he doesn't have any?

His defense is predictable and lack any creativity.

No shite, its like our offense and defense totally traded roles. And I'm not sure if Beckwith saw much PT if any...

We play zone because our corners are incapable of playing man.

Problem is, our safeties are clueless and look lost.

Throw in a lack of technique and you have what you saw.

DBU is officially on hiatus. You can't say that you are DBU when our DBs play like that...people will laugh at you.

The guys playing....Mills, Collins, Eugene, Martin, Loston...are players of marginal ability. Our younger guys (Thomas, White, Jefferson, Thompson, Robinson) are more talented but very green.

The big picture problem is I am not sure that Raymond is the person to bring back DBU. Our secondary was clearly unprepared. That is on coaching.

If Beckwith didn't see much pt, then that's idiotic. What could it have hurt letting that beast get his reps??

I support this

It became popular with peterson bc PP7 was a cool nickname due to all of us loving goldeneye on n64

But it sounds stupid now

I'm not typing initials as a fashion statement, its easier to type it on my phone. You know exactly who I'm talking about...

As that anonymous coach pointed out in summer, Chavis does what he does and he does it ALL the time. He gets players to fit his scheme and if not lives with the results (see yesterday). And adjustments are for the offseason only.

There's no fire on D. I say play the freshman cause the upper classmen are not cutting it play the 3 freshman lineman sitting on the bench. Let the Oline and Dline hit this week till there tongues hang out. We were beat in the trenches by Georgia. Get physical and mean as a junk yard dog

John Chavis is a great defensive coach. Problem is when you lose the number of starters to the NFL like he did, it hurts. You want to blame someone for the loss to Georgia? How about laying the blame where it belongs....like the NCAA and the NFL. Until the NCAA stops the practice of letting NFL teams come in and 'gut' collegiate football teams of much needed talent, we'll see a repeat of this over and over again.

IMO trying to entice talent to remain in college football ranks is the reason we seeing NCAA rules violations regardng monetary aide to players. Didn't I hear something about Bama funneling money to D. J.Fluker? How can Les Miles and the LSU program compete with something like that?

I believe LSU has great coaches and more than that....decent and honest coaches who try to play by NCAA rules. Seems to me money is corrupting the system, and some programs [and coaches] are under enormous pressure to skirt the rules...and maybe pay people in the right places to look the other way.

Geaux Tigahs!!

Oh... THAT is a good idea, both of those suggestions are real winners ... what a football brain!

Please, can I suggest that LSU just wait until the week of the Alabama game to "play freshman linemen ... and hit all week until 'there' (sic) toungues hang out?"

OMG we have to do something about the education system in Louisiana...
