Is it time to just run man to man in the defensive backfield? Since we are having "communication" issues seems this can only help. Can't be any worse can it?

It'd help if we had corners capable of going man-to-man.

that's my feeling

it's not like we're getting turnovers or limiting big plays with the zone, which are the 2 hallmarks of zone D

Meh. They were hitting middle if the field all day with slants and whatnot. Man would be less effective IMO

That they can't cover Georgia's receivers.

Chief will probably have to take risk with man-to-man scenarios. Question is will Les let him?

I agree. Not enough experience to play the zone.

Take your chances with man and blitz more.

Did you not see 28, 32, 6 and 16 get beat in man yesterday? Besides the last two Tds most of the other bi pass plays were in man.

Man coverage would be better if you were getting pressure on the QB. A hurried QB would make our DBs look like all conference players. Very difficult for anyone to cover for 4-6 seconds.

Exactly. Cb cover skills are there. Problem is no pass rush. Yeah, white got beat but so did deion and Pp7. Getting beat is part of playing man

We cant run man if the defensive line doesnt pressure the QB at all.

we were only rushing 4 b/c we were playing zone. you can't get a rush with 4 in CFB today

we were only playing zone b/c our coaches are scared to play man

if we played man, we have more options to blitz and get pressure

Even when we blitzed there was no pressure

that was pretty rare, and i don't know if we ever really sent 6

we showed a lot of blitz pre-snap and didn't really blitz much
