Has there been any pictures released of the locker rooms?

This is from the practice facility.

More pictures and video in this thread LINK

I haven't seen any pictures of completed work on the arena.

I know someone doing construction and he said one guy got into deep shite for putting renovation pics on Facebook. Supposedly if they see you with a camera phone you get sent home.

Not so sure about it, but may not want all the pics leaking out like they did for the Dome renovations. Which is silly to me as renovations build hype= get buts in the seats.

I know some architects working on the arena. They said the plans were great but they've cheapened a ton of it because the budget gets reduced significantly pretty often.

Sounds about right. As big and nice as the practice facility is, it was suppose to be bigger. They decided to use an existing building, which cut costs down.

I personally wish the Arena would be demo'd. It looks like complete shite from the outside.

There's on open house coming up.

ETA:

"In addition to the single-game on-sale, the Pelicans will host an open house select-a-seat event at the New Orleans Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to select their seat locations for 2013-14 ticket packages, including full and half-season packages, as well as 12-game plans. Fans can set up an appointment to view seat locations by calling 504.525.HOOP."

You seem to understand whats going on. Then you must know if the budget on a Tentative Improvement project like this is being tightened, then a new arena is a laughable scenario.

Maybe it's more along the lines of, "I wish they'd change the exterior skin on the existing building, I think it looks like complete shite."

The interior was supposed to be bad arse, as well, but they're cutting costs at every corner.

The skin has not been slated to change.

They are adding stuff around part of it (and you can see where new steps will go in next to the dome parking lot, actually), but the green tile is here to stay.

They are cutting costs to stay on schedule. They had to add workers. Mostly it'll be trim items that can be worked on later. The major work will be in place.

let me just throw this question out there then... since there seems to be some people who really do understand the project at hand in here...

what changes will I... as a regular old fan w/ a ticket... notice when I walk up to and into the Arena for a Pelicans game?

and when can I expect to see each change?

Regular fans will notice the perch and loge areas along with another led ring. That's about it that is big. Club people, fancy folk will notice more.

The next phase of renovations will be much more noticable to all.

Many changes were to clubs, locker rooms, and 'hidden' things. Important things, but some things we don't see directly.
