Bat removal

I just found out that I have bats in my attic. I have located where they are coming in and out at so now I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas on how to get them out so I can seal the opening. I am going up there tonight to see if they are all out feeding at night. If so, I will seal it then. If not, what are my options?
I can't shoot them because of where I live so that's out of the question.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

My buddy is in pest removal and he said to use critter ridder spray. I think you can find at Home Depot. Spray at night when bats are gone in the area that they are roosting. He said it would probably take 2-3 nights in a row to spray. Then seal up when they are gone. I need to do it too, have a handful of bats in my carport columns.

Hire javi, all bats go away.

1. You have to get them out. Make a "bat excluder" out of the cylinder of a paper towel roll or wire mesh. Google "how to make a bad excluder".
2. Once they're out (may take a few days), seal the opening.
May want to build a bat house for fun if you have time.

Wait until they go out at night to eat, spray bat repellant/ deterrent around entry points, seal entry points. Monitor for a few days to make sure you got all of them out. Then clean up the poop, wear a mask, guano can make you sick. Best of luck.

clog up hole in day time,
forget about them, then go pick up dried bat carcasses in the spring when the attic is nice and cool.

their poop puts off a poisonous gas or so, you may have to change out your insulation and all. Get them out, seal it shut.

Remember, when you seal opening, they going to be pissed and look for a new place to live.

An excluder is the correct answer. But I was lazy and hired someone to do it. Also, you'll need to seal off EVERY SINGLE SPOT around your house that they could get back into. Again, this is why I hired someone. Took a few days and a couple of hundred dollars, I think.
