I don't see it.

I personally don't think it is far off.
He is not saying that they are just alike or he could take his place right now. But if you were to compare Murray to any current NFL qb, he is most like Brees IMO.

Difference is Murray chokes under pressure while Drew is clutch.

Not terribly off if you look at both of them in college. Brees far better on the ground. I would say Murray has actually outperformed brees in college. Now NFL will probably be a totally different story.

Brees took Purdue to the Rose bowl and I think he was 3rd in the heisman voting his senior year

If you look at their entire college careers Murray has outperformed Brees.

Us saints fans need to come to the realization that Drew isn't "once-in-lifetime".

Yeah. Under 6'1", decent record and anything close in yardage as a collegiate player = Brees.

I can see a few similarities I guess if I try real hard. But I do think what Brees did with a school like Purdue is > than what Murray does with what he has.

If Murray=Brees, then Mettenburger=Brady. Aside from them all being white, there really is not much of a comparison.

Murray doesn't turn the ball over enough to be compared to Brees.

It's supposed to mean every time a comparison to Brees is made here people get all sensitive.
