Ill start by saying I probably made a mistake with my the second over all pick, I broke my rule and drafted Drew Brees instead of one of the few top flight RBs.

Here is what I did do, I took an unorthodox approach in picking RBs. I drafted Sproles and got Gio pretty late in the draft, as of now they are my starting running backs.

In a PPR league without a wealth of elite RBs, how do you think having two flex type backs instead of traditional RBs will work? I know I will be losing out on goal line carries, but if they get atleast avg. a rushing TD a game and are targeted out of the back field, I can probably get 30 points between my RBs.

FTR, my WRs are pretty stacked as long as they are healthy (Nelson, Amendola, D.Jackson, Fitzgerald)

It has worked so far as I am 2-0 and ranked 2nd!

I used a similar strategy in a 14 team PPR league. Instead of going QB in the first round, I started the first 3 rounds by choosing all WRs (Mega/AJ Green/Amendola).

My only backs are Lamar miller, gio bernard, chris ivory, pead, mark ingram, james starks

I too, am shockingly 2-0. I'm excited to see how this season plays out.

My Backs are Ivory, Sproles, and Gio.

I picked up Ballard, but he got hurt before I could do anything with him!

Pretty solid actually.

I loaded up on WRs and got Calvin/Dez/Nelson and grabbed PPR guys like DMC and Vereen. Missed out on Gio and Vereen is now hurt

I've been thinking of my RB2 as a flex play in my PPR league. Loaded up as much as I could at WR and got Graham. The goal being to have that 3rd WR produce like a RB2 at my actual Flex and using a flex quality back at RB2.

1-1 so far, but posted the highest score in my league by 10 points last week.

Really? I watched someone who used the same strategy steamroll me in the ship last year. I had Peterson, Rice, and Spiller as RBs on my team. It would be much harder in a non-PPR league, but it can work when you have your 3 WR/TE put up 80-100 points a week. Then you're just looking for somewhere around 30-40 points from your other three. 110-140 without adding in K and Def should win you a game more often than not.

PPR Strategy

grab WR/WR/WR/QB/TE/RB/RB/RB/RB

wr's always blow up in the beginning

trade top 2 WRs for under producing RBs and ppr WR2-3s like (MAustin, Hartline, Abrown,Boldin)

win

my teams where i went wr/wr/rb/wr/rb look lethal compared to my team where i went rb/rb/wr/wr/wr. Much more upside in getting elite wr's and as crazy as it sounds maybe more consistent.

I need Lamar Miller & Gio to continue to improve. They're my top backs

Idk.. Last year I went RB-RB-RB and lead the league in scoring in a 12 team PPR. This year I went RB-RB-Graham (couldn't pass him up). And am 2-0 and high scorer.

Sproles is far from a flex play in PPR. He's a borderline RB1.
