Does anybody here watch that show? I really enjoy the show, but never see it mentioned here. I generally catch it on the replay because it comes on Saturday night.

Love it, just wish they could bring Mr Toole back from the dead again. I miss his racist rants.

I've always liked it. Sure it's got it's flaws and it's not real plot heavy but there's always plenty of action and now that the charters are more developed after a couple of seasons it's starting to grow as a show.

I hope it keeps going since I feel there is still room for westerns on tv in the 21st century.

I still post in the BB threads, but not as much. I quit trying to predict that show about half-way through the fourth season; I got tired of being wrong. Hell, Junior doesn't even eat breakfast every episode any more, but you can lay money that he'll say "jack shite" at least once or twice per show.

I knew that baby wasn't going to be Elam's. Mr. Toole killed himself for nothing.

Sean McGinnis looks like Seamus McFly from BTF III.

Love Hell On Wheels.

It's not always great, but when it is it's fricking epic.

And no other show right now uses music as well as it does.

I like it a lot, glad it's on Saturday nights. Season three has been better. Glad the Swede is still around, him and Durant..I think the actors do a great job.

Swede has an Albert Fish vibe going these days.

One of my favorite shows on tv. I only know about 4 people who watch it though. If it gets cancelled I'm gonna riot

I really like the show. Not as compelling as BB but a very good story imo.

Yeah, I need to get the dvds. pretty good price on amazon. I love the time period, it's like a younger spin on Josey Wales.

Colm Meaney - Durant is one of my favorite actors...he plays the greedy bastard great...

As for the Swede...agree with others...so evil..which makes for great TV...whenever he is on, you just cringe knowing he is up to something.

I look forward to him being in with the Mormons...

This...

...and this. I figured out early what he was doing with the Mormon family. He's just evil with no redeeming qualities what so ever.

The REAL Thomas. C. Durant

quote:

Since the government paid for each mile of track laid, Durant overrode his engineers and ordered extra track to be laid in large oxbows.[citation needed] In the first 2½ years the Union Pacific did not extend further than 40 miles (64 km) from Omaha. As the federal government was waging the Civil War, Durant avoided its oversight on railroad construction.

During the war, Durant made a fortune smuggling contraband cotton from the Confederate States, with the help of Gen. Grenville M. Dodge.[7] When the war ended in 1865, the Union Pacific put extra labor on. It completed nearly two thirds of the transcontinental route. Durant employed Dodge as the chief engineer along the Platte River route.
