628 yards against that Bama defense? Damn. I think we have the fire power offensively this year to beat Bama. But we have to find a way to stop Manziel.

Bama's D is nothing special. They shut down VT, but so what? VT is turning out to be one of the worst teams in college football this year. We'll move the ball on them, they'll move the ball on us, and we'll see who wins. A&M has a horrific D. I think we can outscore them.

I think Georgia is the real test for this team. That will be a tough one.

I'm not concerned about one more than the other. Both will be close games. LSU will be in every game this season.. just like in every other game LSU's ever played under Miles except maybe Florida and Georgia in 2008.

LSU's offense will be a difference maker this season and will be a major factor in LSU potentially winning both of those games.

Boy y'all are underestimating our D! Our line is much better then theirs (bama's) more athletic! We will keep him contained and put our tallest DB on that big WR they have! I would put Rashad R on him! Our D is getting better and better & I bet they focused more on their offense then defense for A&M! We shut them down last year! I think we do it again and cause TAs and mistakes! Our run game is better too! Keep the ball away running the ball and play contain on D..... Where them out on D and score at will! I think we beat em pretty good this year! I also think we beat GA good too! 42-24 or something like that! We must create TAs and prevent mistakes & tackle! We do this and I think we go undefeated this year and Mett is in the running for hiesman! Just MHO! Lol this year is ours..... Now if we can just end this recruiting class well???

If the defense jells into something resembling a typical LSU defense, we can beat any team on our schedule.

I'm not because Chavis does a better job than Saban in stopping the Aggie offense.Saban the defensive genius, gave up over 600 yards. How can that be?

Unfortunately we have to beat on of the "any teams" (read super tough games) 3 times more frequently than anyone else.

Don't play perfect all season long we will certainly drop one. Bama only has to play perfect one more time to get to the SEC CG.

I just don't see it happening. Even if we are the best in the SEC, the office has stacked the deck against us.

Unless this defense grows up very fast you should be concerned with both.
There is no doubt talent there but it's young and inexperienced.
We haven't faced an offense within the same hemisphere with aTm or Bama.

I think both will be a challenge but we now have an offense that is really going to help matters. Glad we have at least one at home. Also these Aggie players have never played in Tiger Stadium.

I can only hope our defense tightens up as the season progresses. Bama and aTm back to back is going to be a big mountain to climb. Both those teams are the real deal. Of course, our Tigers are pretty "real" too. So barring the unforeseen (gotta get past the other big SEC games with a W), these two games could be monumental.

i'm no guru but it seems to me to stop the spread offense you need a good 4 man front that will disrupt the whole rhythym and scheme of the offense.

the 3 man line of bama just doesn't match up well with it. esp with a qb like johnny football or marcus mariotta.

Oregon v bama will be the game everyone is pulling for, although they wouldn't mind bama vs ohio state, either.

I like lsu's chances this year. of course, we might have to beat Georgia twice.

TAMU is a tough matchup for Bama. Bama and LSU both have had great Ds the last few years, but Bama averages about 15 pounds heavier across the front 7. LSU doesn't give that up because we can't recruit as well; Chavis puts faster, lighter guys out there. So when it comes to playing Ducks and Aggies, the Tigers have the quick athletes to contain them. Bama doesn't. Bama will matchup better with Georgia, LSU, and other power teams.

Last year the Aggies were destroying us until we discarded our four man front for a three man scheme. I think it has more to do with the quickness of the front seven.

This morning, the only team we need to be concerned with is Auburn.

We have bye weeks before Bama and TAMU. This team will be well rested and will not have their minds on the next game. We can't slip up on Ole Miss though.

We will win a shootout against aTm it will probably be similar to the Bama aTm score.

Bama will a tougher game just because we are over there and Saban always finds a way to adjust. But don't think their offense is the best in the country just because they ran up yards and points against a young not so talented aTm team.

If LSU is playing their best football in both games we go 2-0
