Was bored at work so took a long lunch and went beer shopping in Lafayette. Something I haven't done in a long time even though I live here. For those in or around Lafayette. Do not go waste your time at Marcello's for beer. Selection was horrible. I think Albertson's is better. Anyway I spent a good bit of time at Philipe's. They had a lot of new stuff that I had never seen there before.
Picked up:
4 Old Rasputin, Hitachino Espresso Stout, Peche Mortel, It's Alive, and Pranqster. Also a bottle of McKenna. Hand selected by Marcello's and was cheap. Plus I drove there so I wanted to buy something.

I'm excited to try it. I actually haven't had any of the beers I bought. So I'm excited to try them all.

I'm wondering how AK Alive and It's alive compare. I know last time Anchorage and Mikkeller teamed up, the Invasion Farmhouse IPA was the outcome, which was a step below Anchorage's Bitter Monk. I picked up some AK Alive and have it sitting around. Might have to try it here soon.
