Agree but also watch Bush come in and take out the legs of Tony which helped.

Absolutely! Gonzales definitely catches the pass. Drew had began look a little more comfortable in the second half, but he was still off (by his standards). He may have been able to pull a rabbit out of his arse, but I doubt it.

Hopefully the offense makes some adjustments and cleans it up in week 2; as I am sure they will

No thanks, I'd rather it end like it did.

I wouldn't say a definite loss with the falcons terrible clock management.

Ryan calling a timeout on 3rd down with 47 seconds left had me rolling

I was like thanks dumbass, even if you score, we still have a chance.

Damn Vacarro is Athletic. He showed very good awareness at the end of his first game. Pretty rare for a Rookie's first game action.

I'm just glad to see the Saints have kept with tradition by making sure the new DC was ready to execute the 'prevent defense' when needed and well, he did a fine damn job at that!

I was also surprised by that timeout. I started wondering if we had used our last timeout there.

I wish we had a different angle on that play. With my old eyes it's difficult o see how much Vacarro changed the flight of the ball.

As someone else mentioned, grabbing his arm was smart and effective.

Nice to see it's the same group of people in this thread as the Rex thread that apparently just don't want anyone bringing up legit talking points if the Saints win.

In all fairness to Harper, if you watch the replay Gonzales did a massive shove job on Harper coming off the line of scrimmage

Harper mentioned that in his post game interview. He said being the vet that Gonzales is, they'll never make that call.

False. They had 2 more shots. They didn't need 47 seconds to run two plays. You take the clock down to 30, call the TO. Run a 10 sec. play, take the clock down to 11 or 12. If you do score, it only leaves seconds for the Saints.
