Says white and Robinson will play more moving forward to get up to speed and that both jalens better realize there is a competition brewing for their starting spots.

Considering we face Georgia, aTm, Ole Miss, Auburn, and even to an extent Alabama, well need all 4 of Mills, Collins, White, and Robinson on the field against those passing attacks

How much of a stud is Robinson? He wasn't even elgilble until about 10 practices ago, and 2 of those practices were walk thru's. He just showed up to the games and the Chief has said, "Put that kid in the game."

White really wasn't all that impresssive on Saturday. But he's young, so there should be room for significant improvement.

Our tackling and angles in the secondary have been poor, but I am vastly more concerned about our defense's inability to set the edge. Both TCU and UAB were able to gain the corner with far too much consistency. I don't know if the DE's, LB's, DB's/safeties are to blame, but it's alarming. Gurley will gash us if it continues.

It's not just the edge either. They need to improve the middle as well. The last two games have shown success running directly at our defense.

I'm starting to think that Rashard could be better than White. WOW, we have some studs...

That's true, there have been several plays where RB's have effectively split our DT's and gone for significant gains. Again, I can't tell if the d-line is to be blamed or the LB's for failing to fill the gaps properly.

In any event, it's hard to envision the team winning anything of note this year unless the defense -- especially the run defense -- improves. We still have a few games to do so before the meat of our schedule. I guess we could win 2001-style if the offense really explodes.

The cream will rise and if the Freshmen understand the checks and mental aspects, then play them, and play them early.

Maybe. But I think statistically our run defense is about the same at this point in the season as it was through two games last season. We are weaker in certain positions, no doubt, but I'm not ready to claim that the sky is falling just yet.

count me in this camp as well. The defense held UAB to 10 yards in the first quarter on Saturday, and the offense proceeded to put the game out of reach. After that, they got complacent. I thought LSU was effectively dominant both offensively and defensively when the game was competitive (for lack of a better word) and once the outcome was decided they eased off.

Rashard will start by UGA. He's got PP7....as a fricking junior type skills according to the staff. And they really like White. If they're right about both, a base Nickel of Robinson, White, Mills, Eugene & Loston.................. bitch please.

Bring them all out. They all have their own skills and methods. We will need all of them to come out and play hard. I am all in on this approach....

He supposedly got beat a couple of times but his WR was never targeted. I thought the kid played well for seeing his first real action.

He wasn't terrible, he just wasn't incredible either. There were a few plays where he was cleanly beaten and the UAB QB thankfully didn't look his way. Inconsistency is to be expected of a true frosh, so I wasn't surprised.
