Last year I missed out on some big free agents due to me trying to hold on to my #1 spot in waivers waiting for that "can't miss" prospect. Should I already use my #1 spot for Julius Thomas and drop Antonio Gates...or is it silly because I have Gronk?

FWIW, our flex spot is WR/TE. So I can roll with a 2 WR/2 TE set (or 3 WR/1 TE).

Other cuttable players: Bilal Powell, Kendall Wright, Emmanuel Sanders, Bernard Pierce,

This is what I'm thinking. I can have him in Gronk's spot for the next couple weeks, and then just roll with both of them when Gronk comes back. Who would you cut out of those players I mentioned?

If you have Gronk and Gates, Cut bait on gates in my opinion and roll with JT. Gronk will be back in a few weeks anyway if JT doesn't pan out. If he keeps this up, you have a flex consideration or trade bait.

Pretty straight forward. Cut Pierce.

12-team PPR, I have Lynch, Bush, Vereen, Pierce, and Powell on my roster

I guess I'll cut Pierce because he isn't cutting in to Ray Rice's numbers much at all

And you know this because of one game? Where they were playing catch up for half of it?

Kendall Wright. Seriously, I'd start a TE over him... no point in keeping him on the roster especially since he's their 3rd receiver.

Um, Rice had 12 carries last night, and Pierce had 9.

And what did he do with it? 2 fantasy points to Ray Rice's 22 (in my league's scoring). Ray Rice is Ray Rice...I think all of this Pierce talk is a little overdone. If I had Rice, Pierce would be a keeper - but I don't.

I'll wait until what I see out of Powell, but it will be one of them probably.

You said Pierce wasn't cutting into Rice's carries. I simply showed you that, in fact, he was (at least last night). Nothing more, nothing less.

Ah, touche. I meant production/numbers.

Edit: Actually, I did say numbers.

The week 1 Overeaction is in full effect, brothers

At least drop these shitty RBs and WRs and 2nd and 3rd QBs.

Cook was Thomas before Thomas was Thomas

Gates could catch 10 TDs this year

Why don't you try selling Pierce to the RIce owner.. get a little value rather than cutting him?
