new deer stand advice...

just put up a new deer stand on a lease I just joined this year located in the Red River river bottom. The stand is located on a pipeline that runs trough 10-15 year old hardwood plantation.
I put up a 350 lb. buck boss feeder two weeks ago that is just recessed in a road off the pipeline.
Any recs on anything but corn to get em coming to this new feeder?
TIA
Sull

Rice bran?
Seems to work pretty well in NWLA...as long as you dont have hogs.

Salt lick? Mossy oak bull shite? He can pay for deer to show up to his feeder but that isn't going to bring a trophy deer in

Leave it alone and stay away from it until hunting season.

fertalize the browse to try and get new tender growth. i've done this for years with some honey suckel i planted around some of my stands and the deer love it.

you looking for a sack or two or 500# super sack? feed stores have 50# sacks MOST of the time.

Take rice bran and put grape cool aid, some powdered sugar, or come here deer on it. mix it in with the corn as a coat and then put out a few piles of it. you can pour some molasses on the piles too if you want. deer will find it quick but warning it is Bear and hog crack too. Put some out week ago on very small track deer all over it.
Swamp donkey works in some areas well too, as well as that sweet potato horse feed or just a few bags of sweet potatoes.
Salt licks are great but dont seem to work well in some of the coastal counties due to high salt content of the earth.
Where are u located?

Good deer country. I would try a few salt licks too douse them with molasses or put a molasses drip on them. Try a few things out put cameras on them and go with whatever works best. Good luck, post pics of your big kill. Lots of nice deer up there. I used to hunt Webster Parish and around Arcadia.

Tom's............supposedly the hogs don't eat it and the deer can't eat it all in one trip

The question is...where are the deer crossing the pipeline? Find the crossings and bait them. Hopefully you are not too far from the crossings.
