Selected him in the 2nd round of 10 teamer. To me he looked like the most explosive player this preseason. I project him 1800 yds from scrimmage. Possibly 14 TDS.

What say y'all?

Friend and I took him in the 3rd rd PPR 10 man. Honestly, I can't stand the guy but my buddy wanted him pretty badly.

This is in a crazy, bonus league for Qb's. 5 went in the 1st rd.

We went Martin 9

Matt Ryan at 12

Forte in the 3rd.

Apparently, he had a good preseason.

1800 yards, possibly. 14 tds, not a chance. Probably about 8 at most.

Cut that in half and be happy if that is reached

Needs to stay healthy. If he can do that he'll be a top 5 back.

He's looked that explosive the last 2 years. Then he sprains an ankle. IMO he's a RB2 and make sure you get Bush

Wasn't Forte getting goal line carries in the preseason?

This. I like him a bunch and have him in one PPR league, but no way he get 14 TDs. Be very lucky to get 10. I could see him catching a ton of balls though and hitting around 1200 rushing and 600 receiving.

he's never hit 1800 yards from scrimmage in his career.

and he's only came close once, and that was his rookie year

Not sure. You can book that Bush will get some goal lines touches.

quote:

Matt Forte runs wild in preseason action by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com Bears running back Matt Forte appeared to have been in mid-season form as he found the end zone and racked up over 100 yards of offense in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders. Forte caught a short pass from Jay Cutler and turned it up the field for a 32-yard touchdown. He then broke for a 35-yard run on his first touch after reaching the end zone in the first quarter. Forte played into the second quarter and rushed for 76 yards on six carries. He caught two passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. He has logged 15 carries for 149 yards and a touchdown through three preseason games. Share: Twitter Facebook

Divide that by 2, and that's Bush's total.

Forte will be lucky to get 5

Far more likely to hit 1600 yards of course, but it's not out of the real of possibility if he got a few more carries and catches here and there. He was on pace for those sorts of numbers in 2011 before he got injured.

Health and number of carries will of course be the determining factor for him. But he has a much more friendly offense for his skillset this year.

I'm really high on Forte this season. I have him in 2 out of my 3 leagues and the only reason it's not all 3 is because the guy before me grabbed him in the 2nd before I could.

That being said, 1800 yards and 14 tds is not going to happen. Pray for 1400 yards and 9 tds, which I actually think is going to be close to where he ends up this season.
