Getting married at the end of September. We just want laid back place that's kid friendly, and has music so we can do our first dance.

TIA

getting married during football season is unacceptable.

I'm not going to give any props to their food, but I bet if you call the folks at Lu Lu's and tell them what you are doing, they will hook you up. That place is very kid friendly.

Not when we're doing a small wedding with just our immediate family, plus we're playing in Tuscaloosa and have no desire to go to that road game.

Get back on topic, and give me some suggestions.

ETA: We already had plans to go to the beach that weekend, so we decided to do a small ceremony and make it official.

Ole Miss fan they are more concerned with the Grove and wearing button downs to games in mid September while serving chicken fingers with silver.

Yeah, it's too bad that we don't act like we're part of the Jersey Show cast and funnel beers while listening to techno music pre game.

So I take it you are off the LSU fan kick?

Another option is to see if the folks at the perdido beach resort will take care of you.

Once Pete Boone and Nutt were gone that happened. I'll be pulling for y'all tomorrow.

Sounds like more fun than the Grove to be honest

I'll accept that. Y'all should check out the Cobalt restaurant.

Have you ever been to the Grove? LSU tailgating is fun, but the Grove is just set up a lot better. It's probably time for you to go pick out a flat bill hat and a Ed Hardy shirt to go out. Oh yeah, don't forget to gel your hair.

I have. It was OK, but I found it to be really overrated as a tailgate location. Ole Miss tends to forget they're in Mississippi....it's very meh.

Cobalt would be your best option at that time of year for a reception. It gets pretty desolate down here at that time of year. FloraBama is a great place for football and will have the most people.

I know, that 30 minute ceremony with just our parents and a few other family members is going to screw things up for all of my friends. Never mind, they aren't having to come to the wedding since we are doing family only.

ETA: I agree with not getting married during football season, but that applies to big traditional weddings that your friends are obligated to attend.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I wish you and your bride much happiness.

LuLu's and Tacky Jack's are kid friendly and probably have music.

I would contact Tin Top restaurant in Bon Secour. I bet they would treat you right, but you might need to bring your own music. They might have suggestions on how to get around that problem.

Hopefully your wedding memories will be more important than those a football game will generate.

yes - I know - this comes from a MSU fan.

Look at the Gulf. Was there last night and thought it would be a perfect place for a wedding. Not sure if they'd do it but definitely worth a look.
