Standard scoring Non-PPR

Assuming AD is off the board first, who should go second?

Foster?
Martin?
Spiller?
Lynch?
Charles?
Rice?

I'm pretty sure that 2nd is the worst draft position in this year's draft by the way.

Rice and this was my team in a 12 team standard

Romo
Rice
Mjd
Dez
Ammendola
Finley
Flex-Reggie bush
Ravens
Zuerlin

And no this is not a rate my team I just want to show the OP number 2 isn't that bad

Honestly I'd take whoever you like best out of the bunch.

I think they all have as good of a chance of being the 2nd best back this year.

For me personally, I would stay away from Charles bc of injury history and the way they misuse him sometimes.
Of course I had the 7th pick in a draft and I did take Charles, but all of those other guys and AP were gone already

How did you get all 3 of those? Guys in your league really down on MJD?

I assume...

1- Rice
2- Dez
3- MJD
4- Bush
5- Amendola

Not a bad team, this is kind of what I'm hoping for when I draft on Monday.

I think I'm going to take Martin though

ETA: oh you got MJD in round 2 and found Dez on the turn?

MJD fell to me at 33 overall (3.09) earlier this week. Ended up going RB-RB-RB because I just couldn't pass up MJD that late in the 3rd.

It's less than ideal. The guy responding with the "I got Dez" in round 3 isn't going to happen in 98% of leagues.

A lot of times you'll be lucky if a Julio is still there.

For me, and don't want to sound like a broken record, but I'm going Martin all day every day at 2.

He didn't have Nicks last year so I'm not sure why people are concerned that Nicks will miss some time with Staph. His D will be better so they won't be coming from 10+ deficits too often.

Blount is gone (though he wasn't a big factor last year). Martin is going to get run into the ground this year. I think it will be the year to own him.

Martin - 1
CJ2k/MJD/SJax/Wilson (now) - 2

Same with me. Went rice/mjd/forte and will laugh to the championship

I don't understand how you could get Rice and Forte and MJD. Three team league?

As for original poster

I agree. I drew the second pick Tuesday. Our draft is next week. Had a hard time figuring out a plan. Decided to go with Foster. Would be happy as a clam to snag MJD on the way back, then will try to grab a grade A receiver.

By the way, back more than a couple of years ago, I was delighted to draft Terrell Davis second overall. He was injured in the first or second game and out for the season. I still won the championship because, if I recall correctly, that was the year I snagged Stephen Davis in the 13th round and he went off as the previously unknown starter in Washington.

I remind myself of that story every year so that I don't put too much pressure on that first round pick.

Good luck.

Following TheVille518518's lead, I also had the #2 pick in my 12 team money league and this is what I came out with:

1- Doug Martin
2- MJD
3- Marshall
4- Ivory
5- Matt Ryan
6- G. Bernard
7- Steve Smith
8- Cecil shorts
9- B. Pierce
10- D. Hopkins
11- D. Woodhead
12- I. Pead
13- G. Olsen
14- Bucs
15- Kenny stills
16- D. Bailey

We get 1 point every 5 rush attempts (even shonn green was valuable last year lol). So yeah, I took him there because the jets have no passing game and the run in RB's continued through early/mid 4th.

I'd go Martin. I see him pushing AP this year for number 1 RB. And I love the division he plays in as far as fantasy goes. The division puts up points and doesn't play stellar D. Martin fell to me at pick 6 in one of my leagues and I was shocked.

In my 12 teamer, same scoring, Rice went 2nd. I like Lynch in that spot. After AP, you really can't go wrong imo in those 2-9 spots by taking any projected 1st rd rb.
