Thank God we have a new OC. Outside of three big plays and a handful of hard runs, we were really bad. What makes it worse is their defense was not world beaters. Our defense was pretty good for the most part. If we don't see much of a drop off on the defensive side of the ball and improve our offense, then the gorilla with the chain saw just got a little bit bigger and stronger!

Yeah. We kept trying to run against an 8 man front. Mettenberger was horrendous that game, but yet we still won. LSU wasn't that far off from going to the title game even with a pretty pedestrian offense. Cam should help us convert more 1st downs and redzone TDs.

That game was ugly for both LSU and TAMU. If TAMU had made field goals, they would have won the game.

A lot of people blamed their kicker but it was windy as frick in that stadium. We shot ourselves in the foot ALOT with the penalties. I think it was 12 or 13 of em totaling to more than 100 yards. Doesn't matter tho. W.

Was the OC playing quarterback that day? I can remember wide receviers running free down the field all day long and the ball sailing over their heads.

Very windy that day. I was sitting low sideline and it was kicking. Mett did over throw a couple of open receivers on long plays. I think he over threw one on the first or second drive down the AM sideline that looked like it could have gone for six.

key this season. A shame to think with such a crap offense we were still 2-3 plays shy of going to the big game That doesn't say much about Alabama and UF

Yup and Alabama capitalized on the weakness.

A&M
South Carolina
Alabama

I hate how we would let the other teams score at the end and leave it all up to the onsides kick. Our two minute defense needed an overhaul this past Spring/Summer.

It's going to be a thing of beauty when we wipe our cornholes with them this year. Johnny Foozball is going to get teabagged again.

TAMU got a late garbage TD to make it look respectable. LSU wasn't anywhere close to losing that game.

I think Cam will certainly be an upgrade, but the players still have to execute.

i thought i was the only one noticed this. yes, everybody remembers bama but those 3 games and the clemson game our 2 minute defense was the worse i have seen at LSU in years. what i am really, really, really hoping is that our offense is good enough not to put them in that situation so often. having db's that aren't old enough to shave make me nervous. and we will have that again this year, at least in the two deep.

I actually think that the freshman could be an upgrade. And if we can get the last 10 or so recruits in this years recruiting class in the barn. I know that we will be more talented. Was it bad play calling by the Chief? Or bad performance by the players on the field? Or a combination of both. As far as the offense, it was the play calling. But the players are the ones who committed the penalties that cost us more than one game. Mett was responsible for a lot of bad throws and the receivers were responsible for a lot of drops.

this gets overlooked for all the Les and the offense hate.

but it's actually my biggest worry and hope it gets fixed.

you could add clemson to that list but the O and D probably share a good bit of the blame together.
