I read this book whilst on vacation. Enjoyed the hell out of it.
It made me root for that family and their company that much more.

Lets discuss.

Tell me something that you learned from reading the book that you didn't know before hand.

Name of the book?

Did it not make you want to live in the middle of nowhere and live off the land.

So jealous of his childhood

You wont put it down.

It reads as if he is sitting on his camo recliner in front of you, just recounting old times..

I have not. I did read Willie's book although he didn't elaborate much on Phil's wild side much. I have heard Phil was kinda violent when he was running his bar.

In his biography it's explained that he went to work offshore (a get outta town kind of deal I believe) after he got violent with both the owner of the bar as well as the owner's wife.

I wonder if he ever beat up on Kay? Willie's book said she and the kids left him for a little while.

I have nothing but respect for Phil and how he turned his life around. He could very well have been in prison instead of turning DC into a multi-million dollar empire.

I learned that before phil made his own call he blew an Olt. Those are my 2 go to calls – an original duck commander and an Olt. After that it was an entertaining read and its nice to see that w clean living, hard work and some luck good things happen

I read it. Didn't realize Phil was such a hell raiser when they first got married. Good read.

I haven't read Happy, Happy, Happy yet. I was referencing "The Legend of the Duck Commander". One of Phil's brothers (not named Si) wrote it.

Very good read. Really wish it was longer. Now I hope he writes another.
