Was a super recruit who had offers from everyone out of HS. Never made the grades to go D1.

I'm thinking this will be a great value pick somewhere between 11-14th round. Potentially a everyweek start JMO

He's gaining notoriety. Hope your draft is soon.

Sunday most of the other guys in my league do not follow HS or College very much so that's one advantage as I know this guy from way back.

He had close to 100 yards in the first half tonight I believe.

If you're going to buy hype in preseason, the first 3 quartets of week 3 are the time to do it

No Amendola though

I don't follow the Patriots very closely, but my understanding is that Dobson is the one with the hands, yet he is raw; Brady just seems to be developing a great trust in Thompkins. Amendola will be pretty reliably in and out of the lineup, I think.

Never look at stats in the preseason. Some guys look like superstars but will be second fiddle come regular season. Dobson was the drafted guy. I like Brady, Ridley, Gronk and Vereen that's about it

Brady will throw to the guy he's comfortable with, and right now, he looks pretty damn comfortable with Thompkins.

I'm dropping Vincent Brown for Tompkins. I'd rather trust a receiver that Brady is throwing to instead of Rivers..

I just did this same thing. I know its just preseason but Thompkins has been getting all the hype since camp started not just after this game. Amendola will be hurt at some point in season we all know that.

he has had a strangle hold on the x positon for awhile now and is locked in as the starter week 1. If amendola goes down this season, last night was a glimpse of what could happen IF he keeps that starting position

Kenbrell Thompkins

Was being discussed last night on NFL Live, and the fantasy guru said he is "the real deal." I immediately added him to my sleeper list.

Today I'm looking around for info. on this guy. Noticed that the Patriots website has him buried on the depth chart.

I know those are never final until the week of the first real game.

CBS has Kenbrell listed as the number 2 WR, but the site is obviously not up to date because it list guys who are known to be out for the year as starters.

I'll keep an eye out for now, and might consider him in the late rounds, but I'd like to hear from Belichick's mouth whether the guy is starting or not. And, even if he does start, I would not drop Vincent Brown for this guy as was said in a few other posts. Brown is the No. 1 WR and probably No. 2 pass catcher behind Gates. Like Rivers or hate Rivers, he's gonna throw the ball. 3600+ yards last year, 4600+ the year before. I'm hoping Brown is a in for a 3rd-year break out. I haven't drafted yet, but given a choice, I'd take Brown on Thompkins any day.
