LSU Lost Too Many Defensive Players To Be That Good

We lost the core of our defense. How do you lose the guys we lost and not take a major step back? LSU has some talent in place, but it is young and inexperienced. Plus, how do you lose the guys we lost and still compete for titles? It just isn't possible.

I mean, LSU lost Patrick Peterson, Kelvin Sheppard, and Drake Nevis, the heart of our defense in 2010. How can they expect to be as good?

- College Football World, circa 2011.

I am so pumped for this season. It is going to be a blast. We are not expected to do anything except finish sixth in the SEC. Everyone else is getting the hype. But, the Tigers will be hungry and they are talented and they will perform at a top level. I think LSU wins at least 10-11 games this year and will be in every game they play. With a few breaks, the team could win it all.

Just wanted to say it.

Underestimating LSU's D no matter what was lost from the prior year is like pointing a gun at yourself because you "know" it is empty.

Tigers dominate on D and always will.

I remember when Stuart Mandel predicted LSU at the bottom of the SEC and guaranteed Arkansas would finish ahead of LSU in 2011.

Ready for the season.

Hard time believing the media that LSU D will not be much of a threat, these Cats are cornered. Did I mention these are Big Cats with stripes?
