It's not the po-pos hitting the trailers it's the motherfricking thieves.
Friday I went to the local hardware store to get some tongs to go crabbing. As I was checking out I heard a conversation between two people saying someone stole their license plate. The other fellow said, "they will probably get caught putting it on a vehicle instead of trailer." I didn't pay much mind to it.
As I was getting my boat prepared to go crabbing, I called the man in charge of a new launch I wanted to start using. He said I needed to give him my license plate number. I walk to the back of my trailer and motherfricking sonuvabitch is gone. I HAD a permanent registration. Deputy just left after filing report and told me I will have to pay for "permanent" registration again. I'm gonna weld that fricker down next time.

Those permanent tags are a hit item. Put it on a similar style trailer and roll out.

Coot use some stainless hardware to secure them with some messed up threads....... they not going to get them off without breaking the bolts.

Friend of mine came back to the public launch at Butte LaRose the other day and his license plate was stolen too. They didn't unscrew it. They just unhooked the trailer from his truck and took it .
He wasn't happy.

I've never stolen one. But we did have a bunch of Bammers park at our apartment complex on game day in Knoxville back in the day, even after being told by a guy that lived there that it was private parking. We went out and switched all their license plates around.

I've got the plate number memorized and will be keeping an eye out. No sure what I will do if I find it.
