Is Joe Addai's career over?

He hasn't been picked up by anyone since being cut by New England last year.

One of my favorite Tigers, hope he still has something left in the tank.

Eh.....he's 30yrs old and probably made enough money that he'll never have to work again.

Joe was an awesome tiger but if he can get out early with less abuse on his body and be financially sound then good for him.

This is exactly why I can't blame any running back for leaving school as soon as he is eligible. Nobody wants to pick them up after 30.

Touche. Wikipedia said his 2012 salary was over 2 mil, so there's that and all... Not bad wages indeed.

Hope he was smart with his money and has some solid post-football plans. The Super Bowl and Pro Bowl season the next year should have given him some good contract negotiation room.

His playing career hit a wall...all of the mini-car wrecks on the football field add up...

The average NFL career is like less than 4 years??

I'm sure coming into the league on a team with Peyton Manning as his qb helped ole Joe on AND off the field with regards to decision making.

I'll say this for Addai: having worked as a bartender at a fairly popular bar back in my LSU days, I saw many, many big name players come in and party ALL THE TIME....I only saw Joe once. He came in in his LSU sweat suit, ordered a water, stayed 10 minutes and then left.

Dude was all business and wanted to play in the leauge. Good job Joe.

One of my favorite Tigahs ever.

He put the '04 team on his back at the Swamp & would not be denied that final TD to win the game.

Yeah Joe Addai was much better because of a Manning, make sure you go to their place in NO buy things. Mannings love LSU fans...

Manning told a great story about Addai early in his rookie year.

One of the most important jobs for a rb in the Colts offense was blocking. Manning said he would make sure to remind the rookie about blocking schemes on plays. After a very short time (training camp?) Addai quietly approched Manning and let him know he was secure with his blocking responsibilities and that was that.

His blocking doesn't show up in stats, but it made him valuable to Manning.

I have a lot of respect for addai. If his career in their league is done its perfectly fine he has had an above average career. Best of luck to him and his future endeavors

Teams aren't looking for 30 year old running backs.

He had a respectable career. As long as he managed his money right he is good.

One of my all-time favorite Tigers. (However, I couldn't breathe during the 2004 title game when they reviewed his "fumble").
