I'm a Splinter Cell purist and cringe when I see gameplay of Sam with an AK47 mowing frickers down ghost recon style. Do not want. Being stealth shouldn't be an "option" it should be the ONLY way to get through. I miss having to think and be smart to get through levels.

It's definitely in my top 10 favorite games ever. They've completely lost sight of what Splinter Cell should be in the past couple games and this one seems to further the problem. I'm sure it'll be fun but it isn't splinter cell.

That's what I thought too...Stealth is what Splinter Cell games SHOULD be about like you said.

I have mixed feelings about the game.
However, I will be getting this game tomorrow and will play as close to ghost mode as possible.

I don't plan on buying it. I beat the last one in about a day, so I really don't feel the need to waste money on this one.

Seems more geared to action playing than stealth, but you still have the stealth options. Wanted to play more but am going to meet someone for dinner. Will be playing more when I get home. Game looks good visually.

I like it so far and definitely won't be upset that I bought it. I won't say it's earth shattering but seems to be very solid. I'd say go for it
