I think whodidthat thought he was talking about Mickey Johnson, who is from Covington. But, i think he was talking about Freak Johnson, not Mickey.

I was. Called him freak for years that I forgot his last name.

Mickey Johnson is from Covington so he was calling him out for being a potential homer.

what about Quenton Thomas? Seems like his name always gets left out of these types of threads. He seems like he is due to make some kind of impact sort of like Logan was for a good part of his time at LSU.

You're either blind or stupid for that comment. Without Logan last year we would have lost the South Carolina and maybe Texas A&M games.

I watched every game more than once....sorry you are wrong. Logan was good but not what you are making him out to be.

But, I know, it's the Rant.

It should be interesting to see how many reps Christian LaCouture will get in the TCU game as the #3 DT....

Freak is going to be a Top 15 pick if he plays up to his potential..he was unblockable in the last scrimmage

Will Maclin or Bower be the #4 DE??

Hope Rasco's shoulder is OK...This is his $ year & he knows it! The DE spot should be solid with Jordan Allen as a strong run stopper & Hunter as the rusher...

I just wish some of our guys would stick around another year like Dorsey did to win a championship

LSU has to lead the NFL that entered the draft as Jrs.

I see a nasty streak in the "Freak" that I haven't seen in his entire time at LSU. It's almost like he's patiently waiting for the season to began to let all hell break loose!

Logan was the main reason why LSU stopped TAMU in the 2nd half last year. Switched to a 3-man front with Logan at the nose , and he manhandled Patrick Lewis and fought through double teams. Logan completely negated the QB draw with Manziel.

ETA: The 3-man front allowed for another skill guy on the field to stop the spread.

After the Alabama game last year, Chance Warmack asked Mike Detilier where Bennie Logan is from. Warmack was a 1st round draft pick of the Titans. He then said that he hopes he never has to play against Bennie Logan again unless it's for money, because he's so hard to play against. They had some tough battles in the trenches in 2011 and 2012. This just shows what a great player he became for us after being just a 3-star recruit out of high school.

D-line is the one area I'm not worried about. These guys know they aren't getting recognition and no one knows them. They'll be looking to make names for themselves.

Collectively they're right up there with any group of linemen we've had at any one time. They just have to get the results now.

With an improved offense, I think more will start staying longer.

Don't you think a lot of your juniors left because they got tired of so much three and outs by your offenses in key games the past few years.

Could be brah. Could def be. LSU's offense has sucked arse the last 5 seasons, but still mamaged to win majority of games because of talent.
