Quantavious Leslie...Can someone give some actual insight on Leslie?

I have been wondering why he hasn't been mentioned much pertaining our top receivers. This guy is the tallest receiver we have and probably the fastest true receiver we have. He has all the tools to be one of our best receivers. I did a search and all I see are mixed quotes. "He has really impressed everyone today." "He has been a big disappointment so far." "His hands aren't that good." "When he learns the playbook he will be great."
Can someone give some actual insight on Leslie?

He's not the 4th best WR on the team
Dural and him might split wide when LSU goes 4 wide, but he won't see a great amount of PT

Unless Les Miles or one of the coaches post in here then I doubt you will find the real answer you are looking for.

From what I heard is that Spears out-performed him at practice. LM named 4 receivers that stood out since fall practice started and they are Landry, Beckham, Dural, and Spears.

He needs to bulk up first off.

He isn't in the top 4 so without injury he won't play in big games much.

I doubt he would be thrilled about it, but a redshirt would do him wonders. Take a year and bulk up and learn some technique. Btw Landry, Beckham, Dural, Boone, Wright, and Diarse there wont be much PT anyway.

I'm with you during his recruitment he was the "can't miss prospect "a must get guy to stretch the field, and now there is stuff like he wont play much, needs another year, redshirt etc.

The staff swung and missed on Leslie possible. To come in from a Juco school and only have 2 yrs left you have to find players that can contribute immediately or they are worthless! Hopefully hes not buried so far down that he can play next yr!

Him missing spring was huge hit to his development. Physically he is not where he should be, needs bulk.

Leslie isn't pysically ready...hopefully by week 6 or so he will come on

he is supposedly a legit burner but is very raw. He needs some polish.

They could always redshirt Leslie

From what I understand, his body is just not SEC ready. He showed up around 175, and just has a very slight build.
HAving said that, it seems like all of the other WR's have stepped up in a big way, including Diarse. So with the upperclassmen of Beckham, Landry, Boone and the younger Dural and Diarse all looking for playing time,Leslie really would need to show out to get into the mix. I would say he is battling with Wright/Diarse for about the 5th spot. Also, a guy like Spears has a similar build, with probably better athleticism.
Bottom line is the kid has work to do if he is going to get any playing time at LSU.

This is why people need to learn not to fap do much over new recruits. I kept reading how unstoppable Q was supposed to be. Then camp starts, and people shut up pretty quick.
However, I could see him having a breakout game in late October.
