Yeah, i saw them talking about SC and Clowney on College Football live the other day. They said LSU should be the case study for all teams going up against them this year and showed highlights of us stopping him. Lots of double teams and chips from SW.

Its interesting because all of the clowney talk has exploded. (disclaimer, he is really damn good) I think the reason lsu fans aren't that wow'ed by clowney is that he got dominated in last year's game.

Rewatch the game. While he didnt have big numbers stat wise, he was very disruptive. I completely agree that we did a great job at slowing him down. But dont even remember him being in the game?? Rewatch it. I watched it when it came on CST a few weeks ago. He was extremely disruptive and made a lot of plays possible for his teammates. Took on multiple blockers, forcing the RB to go 1 way, batted passes down, put pressure on the QB and RB. He was pretty much triple teamed every play, but did a damn good job at taking on the blockers and just being disruptive. He had 6 tackles and batted down 2 balls. Despite being triple teamed majority of the night. Pretty solid.

We did the best neutralizing him, but the guy was still extremely disruptive and effective without making the play. He def "wowed" me.

Yea we were smart enough to chip him with the running back on passing plays and run the ball directly at him. I wouldn't say josh dominated. it was more of a team effort.

Oh I wouldn't either, but the team effort was pretty astounding. Again, Clowney is awesome and will be a nasty NFL player.

I forget at what point it happened in the game, but Clowney dropped into a zone coverage and was able to swat down a pass from Mettenberger that was intended to be 25-yards downfield to a streaking WR on a skinny post route.

That tells you about Clowneys physical attributes right there - height, wingspan, athletic ability to knock down a pass intended that far down field.
