A Little Cowboy Keggin' with Steak

Grilled Cowboy Ribeye with a Garlic parsley compound butter. Served with Mongo (Blazing Saddles) style kegged beans with hog jowl bacon, LINK Stuffed Keg Baked Potatoes, Cowboy Fry Bread, Keg roasted Salsa and an icy cold Texas Brewski.

A guy I know made it out of a railroad spike. I'll have to see if he still has or makes them.

The garlic compound butter is a nice touch on a steak like that, with just about any herb. It balances the char flavor. I have done that for years, but recently started using basil/rosemary pesto, instead of the butter. That works great, too.

I like that simple meat with the accent of the herbs. It doesn't get any better than that, for me.

I spoke to the guy I bought mine from this morning. He doesn't have any at this time and it's actually his dad that makes them. He'll check with his dad to see how much he'll charge for them. How many would you be interested in buying?

I'm going to see if he can make me a matching spoon ansd fork to go with my knife.
