Glad things are working out for him. Knew he had potential to be in NFL.

I'm not sure just how to feel about this......

Obviously, I want Shep to succeed.

But as one of the most pro Miles guys on this board, if RS contributes to an NFL team as a rookie, I am going to mean mug CLM next time I see him, as I will view Sheps success on an NFL field as an indictment of some sort of CLM.

Don't hold your breath...everyone with a football mind saw and was disappointed by RS play on the field.
The ignorant want to blame coaching or Miles for this.
I would be shocked if RS accomplished much more than he did at LSU. He could mature and grow into a role but will never be what some on this board think. I wish I were wrong but I'm not.

Good to see they've found use for him. Les never could.

Senior that couldn't see the field in a very mediocre receiving corps.

I believe Sheps lack of playing time had everything to do with Russell Shepard.

That's got to be one of the dumbest things I've read on here.

I mean it's not like he'll improve now that he can focus on football and learning to play WR 24/7 and everything.

Glad he is finally getting a chance to prove himself. I don't know what the deal was at LSU but it was obvious he had mad talent and was a big play threat every time the ball was in his hands, Too bad he only started one game last year and barely played in numerous games. I respect him for sticking it out and playing all 4 seasons as a Tiger. I have a feeling he is going to make some noise in the NFL.

You people make me laugh. If RS makes any NFL team (Even old run-n-gun new head coach at Philly) that means LSU could not coach him properly or put him in good situations to make plays. That = LM fail no matter how you skin it!!!!

We all knew that yet the coaches kept shitting bricks, yet the guy almost had 7 ypc for his career. Then where was he for more attempts?

He came to College as a 5 Star Trophy Head and now he is an equivalent to a Walk On. Now he either produces or is cut. They always said that Football was 90% mental and that determination goes a long way!!

This has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever read on the rant.

This has been done before. If you look at his stats, you'll see a bunch of short gains with the occasional 89 yard run thrown in. That 7 ypc is inflated.

The lengths at which people will go to hate Les Miles is pathetic. Face the facts: Russell Shepard was a kid with a ton of talent that turned into a mediocre college football player. It happens. Russell Shepard had four years to learn how to run routes, catch passes, and develop fundamental skill set of a WR. He did not progress in that, not even enough to see the field as a senior over a very mediocre receiving corps. He spent his time as a "great ambassador for LSU" whining on twitter about playing time, leaving early, and "writing a book".

There are things to be perplexed about with Les. This ain't one of them.

WOW! And you are a Tiger fan too? Great way to support our former palyers. Some kind of fans we have at LSU.

These posts should be saved to point out how ridiculously stupid a large section of the lsu fan base actually is.

It's getting embarrassing at this point.

Fine,

I agree to an extent and I don't hate Miles, just concerned with a lot of things he has done or not done to make the team more effective.

RS came in as the best duel threat QB, lets say I would have rather him not JJ run any spread or option system-he was not tried there.

And all I am saying is if he makes any NFL team as a WR, then someone at LSU failed him at that spot.

Oh, and no hard feelings from my dumbest post ever on the rant (that was my finger brain talking but I will stand by my middle finger on that)

I will say it again, if RS makes the Eagles as a WR, then maybe that will move my words to the top of the best posts ever on the rant.
