Memories of Riley Cooper using the N word will be lingering in the back of his mind. I say :30 seconds

Dunno, but he owns Canton right now.

Though its a great accomplishment, I think it's so overplayed.
I HATE hearing about these people talk about all their "struggles" and all the "hardships" they endured. They were pampered in high school, probably given grades. Went to college, given grades and banged the hottest trim on campus. Probably received money under the table from some rich alum. Next is the pros where they were given a ridiculous salary and a shoe deal to play a game.
And Carter probably wouldn't be in the HOF if he wasnt on ESPN, who's essentially been lobbying for him every year since he's been eligible.

This is incredibly stupid.

And if he wasn't top 10 in almost every WR category.

There are far worst WR in the hall than he.

You may hate hearing it, but it's true. A lot of thes people came from adverse poverty. They worked their asses off as children to get to where they are now. Stuff may have been handed to them later on in life, but they certainly deserved it by then.

Should've been 1st ballot

I remember some idiot on ESPN sayin Rickey Jackson didn't desrve to go in. Only reason he was because the Saints won the Super Bowl that year.

Stuff off the field was certainly handed to them but he obviously doesn't understand that they go into the HOF because of what happens on the field.

It's the truth.
Carter wasnt good enough last year to be in the HOF, but is this year? Did his statistics change any since? Win anymore championships?

Yep. Carter was a 4th rd pick who was cut early in his career due to drug and alcohol abuse. It ain't exactly like Carter was expected to be a HOF'er.

Is Carter the first guy to get in after the first ballot?

So unless you get in 1st ballot you can't go in?

Dude had solid statistics and this was his 6th chance I believe. He deserved to go in. Hell, they may even put Keyshawn Johnson's arse in there one day.

And it's not necessarily carter I have a problem with, it's more about this multiple ballot shite. And HOF should be about off the field as well.
Posted on 8/3/13 at 9:33 pm to Jizzy08
Why would it be about off the field??

The fact he wasn't a first ballot is a fricking joke.

He's like top 10 in just about every relevant WR statistic
