About where I figured we'd be, just outside the top 10.

The love this team will feel from pollsters should they exceed expectations will be strong, due to strength of schedule.

FOUR opponents in the preseason top 10? Would provide a compelling counter in a tight BCS race with, say, a Louisville.

Oh, and this poll is a bit crazy with the SEC East love, eh? Three in the top 10?

Now you know. Not everyone is an LSU fan so If you see a team that goes 12-1 and probably loses half the players a 10-3 team did, they get ranked higher.

Pre season rankings are USELESS.... I think ranking should start after the 1st 3 weeks of play.

But I am loving #13 with 4 of our opponents in the top #10, if we take care of business, we will end up in the NC.

Man is it gonna be sweet when LSU beats 1. Alabama (58), 5. Georgia, 6. Texas A&M (1), 10. Florida and 20. TCU.

They've since took TCU off and replaced them with Vanderbilt.

Nevermind I was looking at the end of last year's poll.

Looks about right. I like LSU's spot. I think Stanford is a tough and good team. But #4 overall? They are about the same as ND to me, and ND beat them last year.
