Truth. The fricking garbage can is what puts Emanski's video over the rest.

Wow how ironic, me and my friend were talking today about how we wanted the old video when we were little

The garbage can was solid...but, my favorite part was showing the most jacked "11" year old kids I've ever seen crush 350ft BP bombs over and over again.

My go to line after a RF 4 hops the cuttoff man at the box usually has something to do with Tom Emanski

“I laugh about it all the time,” he said. “Never in my wildest dreams did I think that video would still live on for 15 or 20 years. I would hear about it every single night when I played. We’d be in the locker room and we’re watching ESPN, and here comes that commercial. Everyone starts yelling, ‘Fred, what about that hat!’ I’d have to run into the trainer’s room.
“But it’s so funny. When I was 18 or 19 years old, I was playing down in the Dominican with a guy named Steve Christmas, who was a catcher for the Reds. He said: ‘Fred, when we get back to Tampa, you’ve got to go see Tom Emanski over in Orlando. He’ll videotape your swing, you’ll learn a lot.’ So I said, ‘O.K.’ Winter ball’s over, I go see the guy, and he videotapes my swing, slows it down, and he showed me a lot of stuff.
“Now, seven or eight years later, he has a video and he asks me to film a commercial. I’m in the big leagues, and we’re playing in Chicago against the Cubs. After the game, he picks me up right outside the stadium and we go to a Little League park, he just gives me this shirt and this hat and says, ‘Put this on.’ He had his own little video camera, so he shoots the video. All I did was put on a shirt and a hat and say, ‘O.K., I’m Fred McGriff. …’
“At the time, I was just like, ‘O.K., give me one percent.’ I didn’t know it was going to turn into anything — I’m sure he made millions. But the thing is, he did a great job, and he did help me get to the big leagues. I was 18 or 19 and he showed me some things about hitting. He helped me make a great living also.”
McGriff says he has never even actually seen the Defensive Drills video he helped make famous. But, yes, he still gets checks for his endorsement.
