I'm watching this documentary called "Facing Ali".* Check out these quotes about Earnie Shavers.

But he hit him PLENTY in the first fight.

*Several of the guys interviewed for the documentary -- Henry Cooper, George Chuvalo, Ernie Terrell, George Foreman, Ron Lyle, and a few others -- comment on the second Clay/Liston fight. All of them basically say the same thing: that Liston knew he had no chance of beating Clay and wasn't interested in fighting. Foreman says that Liston straight up told him he just took that fight for the money.

It sounds like a bold statement, but those quotes are pretty telling. They come from reputable sources.
Ali fought Foreman, Frazier, Liston, Cleveland Williams, and a slew of others known for their punching power.
Ron Lyle fought Foreman, Oscar Bonavena, and Gerry Cooney,* who all are known for their punching power.
Larry Holmes fought Cooney, Ken Norton, and Mike Tyson, among others.

I love people in this thread saying "no this guy hit harder." Umm, you guys havent been punched by either of these guys so you literally have no way of knowing. Ill leave to the guys who have been hit by both.
