This is about as touching of a story as you will find. As many of you who have followed recruiting for awhile will recognize his name (LSU considered him for awhile), he graduated from Texas Tech in 2 1/2 years and is now the starting QB at the University of Memphis. Props to this guy.

Great post. I watched him play at Friendswood high and was really hoping he would be a Tiger. What an awesome human being.

Isn't he related to Dr. George Karam from Earl K Long?

Yeah LSU never really considered him, but I wanted us to. Really liked GIS skill set. Good for him.

I had always hoped he would be a Tiger, especially with his family LSU/Louisiana background, but I guess it wasn't meant to be, wish him the best...

A local sports radio show "Chris Vernon Show-ESPN 92.9" heard about it and got him in studio. Not taking anything away from the original story, but the QB is talented. The radio guys would name a song (any song) and the QB would start playing it on the piano. He played "Billie Jean-Michael Jackson" and "Hypnotized-B.I.G." on the spot. Crazy good. The radio show twitter feed was filling up with people saying they were going to buy season tickets just to support this guy and his team.

GREAT STORY...

who the frick is cutting all these god damn onions all of a sudden….

great, GREAT story… seriously, what a human being…

in a time where we have come to know athletes as very selfish, a couple of them, every now and then, come along and are totally selfless… and being on his own accord and motivation, too… man…
