NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports Harvin has suffered a “slight tear” in the labrum that could require surgery. Harvin will seek a second opinion early next week. ProFootballTalk confirms Harvin’s tear — spotted on an MRI performed Thursday — and the possibility of surgery.

Seahawks just put him on the PUP list... if hes still there when the season starts, he misses the first 6 games.

A player can come of the physically unable to perform list any day during the preseason. If he starts the regular season on the PUP, he must miss at least the first six games of the regular season.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll acknowledged Thursday that Percy Harvin may need surgery to repair the tear in his hip labrum.
Harvin is scheduled for a second opinion next week, but the early signs appear grim. The second opinion, in all likelihood, will confirm Harvin's need for surgery.

kash I was pretty shocked to find out you're black. I had you pegged as the serial killer guy living in a basement full of dead hookers.

How did no one notice this? I believe he was dealing with this off and on last season too.

New reports that Harvin might miss the entire season:

quote:

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Percy Harvin would "likely" miss the entire 2013 season if a second opinion on his hip shows Harvin indeed needs surgery to repair his labrum tear. La Canfora allows the second opinion still hasn't been formed -- it will be next Tuesday -- but his season is now in doubt. Early indications suggested Harvin will in all likelihood require surgery. The Seahawks will move forward with Doug Baldwin behind Golden Tate and Sidney Rice, just like last season. Harvin's loss would be quite a blow to Russell Wilson's 2013 fantasy ceiling

I had him on my teams for his 2 migraine plagued seasons. Was always a game day scratch or would play and have a good game when he wasnt supposed to. He's the kind of guy that makes your fantasy season awful. Brings back memories of Fred Taylor.

If you want to waste a pick, go ahead.

With this injury, even if he doesn't choose to have the surgery and goes the cortisone route, he won't practice very much and will lose some serious power in that plant leg. Avoid him unless you want a headache. There will be better value throughout your draft.

I will be drafting him in my keeper league and stashing him.
