Who Is Racist?

As usual, Thomas Sowell speaks with wisdom, insight, clarity, and candor. I hope everyone will read this article, no matter which side of the aisle you're on.

quote:

The moral claims advanced by generations of black leaders -- claims that eventually touched the conscience of the nation and turned the tide toward civil rights for all -- have now been cheapened by today's generation of black "leaders," who act as if it is all just a matter of whose ox is gored.

Even in legal cases involving terrible crimes -- the O.J. Simpson murder trial or the charges of gang rape against Duke University students -- many black "leaders" and their followers have not waited for facts about who was guilty and who was not, but have immediately taken sides, based on who was black and who was white.

Among whites, according to the same Rasmussen poll, 38 percent consider most blacks racist and 10 percent consider most whites racist.

Broken down by politics, the same poll showed that 49 percent of Republicans consider most blacks racist, as do 36 percent of independents and 29 percent of Democrats.

In a just world, Thomas Sowell would replace Jackson and Sharpton.

It's a very profitable business for scum like Sharpton and Jackson. The money is the only reason they do it. I'll never understand why most blacks can't see that.

Some do, but find themselves caught in the crossfire. So they remain quiet. Most likely these are your co-workers (given any of you work or live with blacks)

Yes it is. Money for the race baiters, but much bigger money for the redistribution crowd. The big government people. They have to scream about how "unfair" the U.S. is to justify the redistribution of money, resources and preferred status to their groups. Rac-ism is the linchpin, the base ism that must be protected at all costs lest the fallacies of the other isms are exposed and the money propping them up is cut off. Redistributed money and power, that's what it's all about. Tax (encumber) that which DOES work, Subsidize (promote) that which does NOT. Start that ball rolling and see where you are in 50 years. Go ahead, take a look around.

Apparently the Civil Right movement these days is about the right not to be civil.

How many threads are you going to start with race being a focal point?

You have 3 on the first page alone.

You're as bad as the black race baiters. You just have a much smaller audience.

He should start only one.......after the race bait industry stops. His last one should be about successfully slaying the dragon.

I could start hundreds more than I've started. The race greviance industry is a threat to our nation. 2 of the 3 threads I started are links to articles written by black men who realize what I realize. I want to expose their words to as wide an audince as possible because our nation is in danger. We need to listen to some voices of sanity.

You're well on your way.

You've started mor than three this month.

which invariably turns into certain Alabama posters jumping in like flies on shite to gleefully claim black people are more racist than white people.

Admit it. There is no altruistic reasons for these repeated race baiting threads many of which have nothing to do with politics. Just like your repeated threads show how the bad Muslims kill the Christians, it's not politics at all. It's your attempts to inflame this board. You do that which you accuse "the race grievance industry". You fan the flames of hate.

Oh I'm sure Al Sharpton uses the same excuses you use saying he wants to expose the words of white racists to as wide an audience as possible because our nation is in danger. He thinks We need to listen to some voices of sanity.

But in the end, youre both race baiting. Just like your anti-Muslim threads. Your intentions are the same. This isn't politics. It's race baiting. And anyone can see it.

Please don't. This board is flooded with people complaining about blacks complaining about racism.

That's an awful lot of complaining, and I get enough of that shite at home.

^Truth. I think there's starting to be a backlash from minorities overplaying the race card.

Huh? Which threads are those?

You're too blinded by your prejudices to see things clearly.

Btw, did you even read the article I linked?

1. Disingenuous.

2. Click threads started by LA

3. If you actually read my reply, you'd see I agree with your characterization of Sharpton so how am I blinded by prejudice? I just see you're doing the same thing bc each and every time you start these threads, they become an attack the black man thread.

And you link articles written by black men as if because they're black, that must give them credibility. Yet you ignore the many kudos the president received from Republicans for his statement including those from Scarborough and McCain. You repeatedly attack the man's statement completely mischaracterizing what he said. Are folks like McCain and Scarborough RINOs for defending Obama? And if so are folks like the black men you link BINOs?

Why are your black men any more credible than Republicans who disagree?

On a board comprised of almost all white southern men, who are you trying to convince? Or is it your intent to inflame?

You have an already formed opinion and evidently nothing I say is going to change it, so be well.

re: Who Is Racist?

I really honestly like VB and am glad he posts on this site.

But, I do find he can be oddly 'attacking' and dismissive of other's posts / threads.

i am pretty active on here. But, I don't post in a LOT of threads. I post in a very small number of those available.

I may not even open a thread that doesn't interest me (from the title). Or, having read the OP, I may choose to move along.

I wish VB would do THAT and stop the "Bush did it too, so no fair complaining" stuff. Because i VALUE the "other side" point of view.
