I've been watching many of rnolan's videos on YouTube gearing up for the season and I'm reminded that the band used to be located in the Northwest corner of the student section as opposed to straightaway North Endzone like they are now... my question is, "does anybody other than me wish they were still back in that corner spot?" and that band seems to me like it was much larger back a few years ago...say, 2007 compared to now...

just and observation and a question...

yeah I think it was the 2008 season they moved a few sections over. I like them in the original spot in the curve.

I also say the best band in the SEC, probably the country. nothing like GBFTL

Yes because...

1) can't hear them anymore from my seats, just the drums.
2) the tiny video board we had is now gone this season

And honorable mention for the 2 mens restrooms with troughs parallel to the door so you have to walk between two pissing men to get to an open spot.

I like the new seating because I can hear them better. I guess I am selfish but then who doesn't want to hear the BEST band in the SEC & country.

The band used to be even more over into the west side many years ago. When I played in Tiger Band from 1972 thru 1975, my seat was on the 37 yard line on the west side-prime view. I guess those seats commanded way too much money from paying fans, so the band was relegated to the north end zone as a result.

I sit on the East side and can't eat them a loud as before so I for one wish they'd move back.

I like them in the new location. In south end zone, we can hear them now. They project to more of the stadium.

Every university with a good band thinks this. Including our own.

I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure the best band in the country doesn't have ppl leaving the stands at halftime.......

One advantage of the section they are located now is that more of the stadium can hear and see them. It may not be as loud to everyone, but you can hear the band in the upper East and West seats as well as in the bowl. When they were located more to the west side, you could hardly hear them in the West Upper Deck.

The band for the longest was located at the boundary between the SS and the west lower - think, tall section for the band. Not sure which year they shifted slightly to the NW corner and a wider, shorter section.

From the SEZ, the current location is better than the others.

TGBFTL is without peer among marching bands. Really with they could play all their songs, i.e., Neck, Oh-Wee-Oh, etc
