wanting to get me a good flashlight for deer season! brightest mofo i can get for $50-60. was looking at a streamliht 600 lumen for $65. are there equally as good lights out there for less, or even better ones for same price or less?

I carry a streamlight. They are so good it's what I gave as groomsman gifts for my wedding a couple of years ago.

yeah i have a couple of the small ones the size of my finger i carry to walk to deerstand with.. but looking for a much brighter one that will shine further distances in that price range.. also dont want a big arse heavy one. something about 7-8" long would be ideal

I usually treat myself to a new light every deer season. Got this one last year, and it's the best medium sized light I've ever had. I've had a stinger, and this one is better. It's been nearly 12 months, used often, and still haven't changed the batteries. I give it 5 stars. My pop and brother were so impressed they each went and bought one, and they are two people that can afford any kind of light.

I'm a huge fan of Streamlight. They have really upped their game in the past couple years.

My TLR-1s on my HD gun has always been nice and bright. But Streamlight has since improved the technology in their lights and you can now get the same sized light in a 300 or 630 lumen package. That is incredible.

I know you're talking about a handheld light but I figured I would harp on my experiences.

I have a streamlight on my ar15 that is on a quick mount clip. So with the squeeze of the buttons I can take it off and use it on the go while I leave the gun at home.

I figured while I was going to spend 75 bucks on a small flashlight, I might as well get one that mounts on my gun so it can have dual usage. If you have a gun with a rail system on it, you might want to keep this in mind when shopping.

Google nitecore EA4. I buddy of mine gave me one for my birthday. It runs off AA batteries and is incredibly bright and not that big either.

For deer season, I stick to a light that has red, blue, green and white options (preserving night vision, blood trailing, and general use).

If I need a bright light for shining, uh, I mean deer season, I use a Q beam or my 3800 lumen tugboat light.

Streamlight just released a nice green LED weapon light. I'm assuming it's mainly for hog hunting but it can be for shining, uh, I mean deer season as well.

I coon hunt with a 3D LED maglight. It's bright enough for coon hunting and costs $30 at academy with a 70hr battery life...

Only bad thing is its big. I can live with it though because its such a nice light.
