Very true.

I looked at my trades at the end of last year and it hurts to realize that my worst periods last year happen to be when I was trading the most. Went back to the year before and it's the same story.

Staying away from short term charts and not spending a lot of time looking at the market during the day has helped cure me of the itch to day trade, that and losing a lot of money.

Any reason why commodities are up across the board

Haven't seen any big news aside from McDonalds falling short...

No idea. Just glad it happened this morning.

I saw it coming last night around 9 PM BR time when I checked out the commodities early trading in Asia. Commodities were up strong then and it increased overnight.

I thought you sold Thursday. I was taken out at opening $19.56 this morning. 2K shares. Nice move.

I sold on Wednesday and bought back half of my original position on Thursday.

Thanks. I'd rather be lucky than smart any day.

I edited my post above to correct the days I sold and bought back. I sold my original position on Wednesday, not Thursday, just as I posted on page one of this thread. I bought back on Thursday but only bought back half of my original position.

So, I've held 2K shares since Thursday. Bought back at $18.68.

I'm tempted now to go into DSLV. It's down almost 14% on silver's rise this morning. :gulp:

I'm getting too old for those moves. But sure is tempting for a quick in/out!

DSLV is incredibly illiquid. 1,000 shares on either side moves the market a quarter of a percent.

Correct. There have only been 130,000 shares of DSLV traded this morning. I'm trying to get out now. My sell order moved the market.
