re: Joe Scarborough on Zimmerman and Republicans

quote:

Maybe Zimmerman did profile Trayvon because he looked like a black thug...

Well, based upon the fact that he smoked pot, stole things, cut school, etc, wouldn't he actually be a thug?

I don't know why Zim went and followed him, but by many people's definition, Martin was a thug.

re: Joe Scarborough on Zimmerman and Republicans

My thoughts:

What George Zimmerman did was wrong. He profiled Trayvon based on his skin color.

The media circus surrounding this case hurt any chances of Zimmerman being convicted. Jumping to conclusions, race baiting, and all the other terrible journalism hurt the legal process.

I think the media intentionally blows things like this up and make it a white vs black issue just to stir up the pot.

And I think this was made into such a big story to distract us from things like Bradley Manning, NSA spying, etc.

Because he's become a left-wing hack who's drunk the MSNBC kool-aid.

re: Joe Scarborough on Zimmerman and Republicans

quote:

Conservative commentary and GOP stand-your-ground laws only exacerbated that divide. If Republicans are to take back the White House anytime in the next generation, that reality has to change. After this week, it has definitely become a longer, harder slog.

This is unbelievable.

First of all, stand your ground laws were not even at issue in this case. It wasn't part of the defense's case.

Second, conservative commentary exacerbated this divide? Are you kidding me? The way the media handled this case, from the beginning, was shameful.

This isn't about lifting up the black community. It's by dragging down others to make them feel guilty, dirty, racist, and responsible for the atrocities that African-Americans endured in our country.

But the Civil Rights Act was signed fifty years ago. It didn't eliminate ignorance and racism, because you can't legislate those things away. But to point to this case and scream that it proves we're still exactly where we were in the 1950s and 1960s is unfair and hindering true progress.

I am tired of things always being made about race without hard and fast evidence. Everything, it seems, is racist. George Zimmerman isn't some hero and Trayvon Martin wasn't some thug. Why can't we be sad that a 17 year old lost his life, when it didn't need to happen, instead of people standing on this young man's grave and using it to throw stones at others, from both the left AND the right.

He doesn't.

He says he does because it attracts New York viewers.

quote:

Do you think any of these statements are correct? George Zimmerman "chased" Martin

He stalked him.
quote:

George Zimmerman ignored a dispatcher’s pleas

Absolutely!
quote:

George Zimmerman made racially charged statements

He made inflammatory statements and used what many people consider code words.
quote:

George Zimmerman provoked a confrontation

Only Zimmerman knows that and I don't take his version of events at face value.

The laws of Florida favored the defense

Yes.

American common law always "favors" the defense.

Followed him.

It was one statement "we don't need you to do that"

Mind you that was after the dispatcher asked Zimmerman to follow Martin.

quote:

He made inflammatory statements and used what many people consider code words.

You and Joe are making this shite up.

quote:

The laws of Florida favored the defense

They probably do. Let's say Martin was able to get the gun away from Zimmerman and Martin was charged with 2nd degree murder. He would have had just as good of a chance as being found not guilty as Zimmerman did.

No evidence of that whatsoever.

What?
Oh, you mean he used the vernacular of a creepy-ass cracker?

Nope. Didn't happen.
quote:

Only Zimmerman knows that and I don't take his version of events at face value.
There is nearly proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman's account is accurate.

Where are you getting your misinformation?

if by stalking you mean followed him for a bit, then stopped when he was told not too

quote:

Absolutely!

i wouldnt call it "pleas" as much as calling it told him one time we dont need you to do that. to which zimmerman replied "ok"

quote:

He made inflammatory statements and used what many people consider code words.

translation- he didnt use a racist word so we will make up something and say "thats what he meant". you can be guilty of using racist language even if you dont. also, forget about the fact that TM DID use a racist phrase, but that doesnt matter.

quote:

Only Zimmerman knows that and I don't take his version of events at face value

since trackfan doesnt believe it, then its not true.

"Code words"

I'm so damn sick of this story. Now people are making shite up to be offended about. The only good thing to come out of this whole deal is that so many people have been revealed as total idiots.

They change too often. If they can't get offended through normal channels, they create their own.

I don't know who is the bigger dumb arse you or Joe.

Here is a little fact, if you want to bring politics into this..

Zimmerman was a Democrat who voted for Obama.

So that Big Democrat that was following all those Republican laws.

Jesus the fricking idiots like Joe just feed the sheeple shovels of shite and you just keep slurping it up and asking for more

For some reason the corrupt American media forgot to mention this in their reports…

George Zimmerman calls himself a Democrat.
A local media channel even reported this back in March 2012.

“What we do know about Zimmerman is… he calls himself a Democrat.”

George Zimmerman was an Obama Democrat.
He took a black girl to prom. He tutured black kids.

But like any progressive arguments...ignore the facts...blame someone else for your problems, claim no responsibility for your actions and feed into irrational emotional fear.
