I don't see how anyone wanted him. He is going to be terrible.

I was too. I wonder if this was his other ankle that he is having surgery on. I think the phoenix medical staff will live up to their hype on this case. Might still be wishing they drafted ben mac come next season, though.

What I found most interesting was this.
They found a problem that wasn't even causing symptoms and corrected it before it got too serious. I really hate running down our medical staff when the only information we have access to is the results, not what they did or recommended, but I really feel like they can be upgraded.

As part of a routine evaluation, our medical team identified the very beginnings of a stress fracture in Alex's right ankle even though Alex was entirely asymptomatic. We expect him to be available to begin the season.

I think we could of not ask for a better offseason espc after Rivers game yesterday... Well unless Chris Paul, Lebron James, and Howard all came to the Pelicans but frick them, we going to the chip!

Another article was calling it a precautionary surgery on the ankle he didn't get surgery on. I think he'll be good to go. Sometimes I think they pay that medical staff so much, they just want to give them something to do lol.

Let's look at last year. Lopez was a walking injury there, played 82 games here. Davis had a few issues, none of which festered. They limited his minutes, clearly, and he was fine after, at least with the foot. The knee thing resolved itself. Smith had the shoulder thing in game. They let him play and pulled him for surgery before more damage was done. The Rivers thing was a freak in-game accident. Then there was Gordon. I'm not sure how to count that.
At any rate, that's the main injury stuff, right? It's just off the top of my head. Sorry if I left something out.
Looking at that, what is to say the staff hasn't been upgraded? Seriously. Convince me it's a worthwhile exercise today, and I'll dig into the medical staff history.

About Len: this guy has had a stress fracture in each ankle that he didn't report or get the attention he needed for it. He went through the tournament with the stress fracture, getting surgery after. Now he is again not reporting issues.
Either he is just not taking this stuff seriously or he is going to fall apart with no indication that he's doing so. There's reason pain sensors exist, and it's not to punish us humans. It's to signal us that something needs to change. If this guy's body can't signal that to him right about injuries that are directly tied to his success on the court, the salary he'll get will be quite misspent.
Expect him to be very limited in training. If can can absorb enough of what's going on, maybe it won't affect his season.

I think the drafting of Len sets the Suns in a really good place to draft number one next draft.

The Suns are the best team to rehab with.
