only banding woodies there

I was told it is only woodies they are banding on the refuge. Majority of the banding occurs during June and July which is why the oxbow is closed to boat traffic currently. I want to get back out there and punch the grass. Gotta be able to catch some fish in there.

I was planning on going August 3 (First Saturday after re-open) but I will be in Orange Beach. I bet the fishing is going to be shite hot after 2 months of zero pressure...definately ready to get back out there.

REB, I heard somewhere a while back that they band the hell out of those things

I've got 1 in my possession. There's at least one more I didn't really pursue but definently was shooting. First duck my dog ever picked up was the one I have.

I've always kept a retriever and guided for years. Like Balls said many of what I have we're brought to me by my dog. I've always hunted mallards as well

Quite a few but numbers aren't important

A couple of Greenheads, a couple Pintails and and a handful of Woodrows.

Had a good friend that banded ducks with LDWF every year for several years, always wanted to kill a bird he'd banded.

Had a good friend kill a pair of Specklebellies that were banded with consecutive numbers.
