WTF Did I Just Watch--Hemlock Grove?

I decided to watch this Netflix Original series last week b/c it's summer and there isn't much on. It started off ok, kinda weird, but fairly entertaining.
I finished the series last night and I'm still not sure what the hell happened

I get the wolf storyline. The little girl wanted to experience stuff so she drank from a wolf's paw print. Still don't get how this even makes sense that the Evian in her water bottle poured into a paw print would cause her to become a wolf. Just seemed stupid, but I got it.

The part that I still don't get is what the hell Roman's mom wanted him to do to the baby. Did she want him to kill it? She said the baby was his son, but was it the baby his cousin had? I thought they both died? Did the Asian guy regenerate the baby or something? Also, why did Roman impregnate his cousin and not even know about it? Why would he do that? And why did his cousin think it was an angel and not her weird cousin apparently raping her? That whole storyline just left me thinking WTF?
