Spiked Watermelon with Injector

Ive made spiked watermelon before, but never by using an injector and want to try it. So how do I do it? Just start injecting the watermelon or do I have to get some of the juice out and have an "air" hole? Thanks for the help

I saw something a long time ago where you stood the watermelon up on its end and cut the top off. Then you scooped out all the good stuff, made a slushy (alcoholic) drink out of it and put it back inside, minus seeds, of course. Then you tapped it at the bottom with a spigot, and you had a ready-made drink dispenser.

We have done that. It looked and worked cool but tasted gross.
