My all-time favorite, so I can't join this bandwagon.

Your opinion is worthless without perspective. Care to state why you didn't like it? Here's why I liked it:
1. Solid cast and good acting with Matt Damon, Robin Williams, Ben Afleck, Minnie Driver and Stellan Skarsgård. The movie won 2 Oscars, Williams (Supporting Role), Damon and Afleck (Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen) and was nominated for a number of other Oscars.
2. Great writing and story depicting a number of significant life lessons. Intelligence and knowledge does not necessarily equal wisdom. Love is more important than either. It was a feel-good story without being too sappy.

Did you see it when it came out?
Seeing a movie many years later when it's classic can color perspective for the worse.
