Made a visit to the Rocky Mountain National Forest

Here for the week with my daughters softball tournament and trying to get some site seeing in. So for the highlight of the trip has been RMNF.

Yes sir..

Saw some mule deer and big horn sheep as well but I didn't get pics of them on my phone

Went last summer, loved it. Did yal do any hikes?
Also went to Arches and Canyonlands which were awesome as well.

Cool!

I was in a meadow in the RMNF about 10 years ago this time of year and it was full of elk just like in your pics. We could hear them bugling and got within 50 yards or so.

We didn't get to do a lot of hiking kind of short on time so we did more of the driving loops and observation points. Would really like to spend a few days exploring it for sure.

There are some really nice hikes, sky pond on the way to the glacier is awesome. There is a lake a little before it that we caught some trout at. I have pics posted on here, the outdoor scenery thread that is stickied.

Was there in 2010. I climbed to the summit of one of the mountains right as a thunderstorm was coming in. Let me tell you, standing at eye-level with a damn thunderstorm stirs up all kinds of emotions.
