Is there any value in Pine Trees???

I have a big lot with about 50 pine trees on it. Not looking to make any money but wonder if someone would clear cut it and keep the pine for a trade off?

Probably depends on where you are located and the diameter and height of said trees...

This lot is on Lake Darbonne in Farmeville. The trees are very old and very tall.

Are they very straight with no twisting? That will make a difference, too.

They are tall and straight. Not super thick though.

You will make money if they have any girth.

what you are looking for is a pulpwood guy around that will come and get scrappy stuff like that. Don't be expecting much money. it's doubtful you have true timber for lumber.

Try Lionel Washington in Marion 318-292-5181.
He and his Dad and Uncle used to be in the wood bidness. They are good guys.If you have 50 big logs iszed trees, you may do OK.

Maybe you'll make enough to not lose money prepping the lot

if you have time, take a chainsaw and cut a deep x in to the stumps and then come back a year later they'll be rotted out and you can bush hog over them.

No damned way you are getting anyone to cut 50 trees for pulpwood.

Cut the stumps like a pizza (8 pieces) then start a fire on them.
