Any info on this kid. If he signs with LSU will he be the crown jewel of the class or just a pretty good addition?

Depends on how much money Boston has left to pay him. Similar to Bregman in that he went way later than he was supposed to. His sr year was a little down compared to how highly rated he was before season. LSU did not expect him to come before the season. Now there is a chance. Some have reported that Longhi thinks they will meet his demands but it will come down to the 7/12 deadline. His bat is good enough to get in lineup but defensively will he be good enough at 1B is the question.

He's had some LSU related tweets recently, I think he makes it.

Also some Boston-related tweets.

Also some ambiguous tweets about how hard his decision is going to be.

So, yeah, it's very hard to read anything into his twitter account.

Boston Red Sox Drafted Players

If I am correct, no one is guaranteed anything after round 10. He was picked in the 30th round. It would be really foolish of him to go. (if you are reading this Longhi, I love you)

Maaan I want this guy to make it to campus. We are going to need some pop in the lineup next year, and he appears to be that guy out of the incoming freshman.

Looks like the Sox will have some money to spend; they're $650k under pool values on prospects signed so far. We'll have to sweat this one out.

The Sox are well under their pool amt. they could give him up to $1.09M without losing picks. They still have 4th and 7th rounders to sign so that number will be closer to $500-600K.

I still think he makes it to campus though.
