Many are cops but I don't like it. I cannot stand to see people driving around with S&W or flex cuffs hanging from the mirror because it looks idiotic. Why would you want to advertise to anyone that you are a cop while driving your POV? It only ups the chances of someone keying your car or worse while you are away from it. I know lots of people that do this and some are even friends but I am still going to go with douche move.

I got out of law enforcement back in '96. Sold every piece of gear I had except the cuffs...quite useful, on occasion....
